Immune gummies the kids will love! 🍊

These simple, delicious and healthy gelatin gummies are packed with immune-boosting ingredients.

Gelatin, Oranges, Manuka Honey, Turmeric and Ginger are all immune-boosting superfoods. Gelatin is great for your gut health (80% of your immune system is in the gut). Oranges are high in vitamin C which supports immune function. Manuka honey has antimicrobial properties and promotes healing. Turmeric and Ginger are anti-inflammatory and powerful antioxidants.

Together, they cover lots of aspects of health and immunity – and taste amazing!

MAKES APPROX 48

Ingredients:

  • 6 tbsp gelatin (Nutra Organics Gut Wellbeing)
  • 1/2 cup of warm water
  • 2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 pinch of grated ginger
  • 1/8 tspn organic turmeric powder
  • Pinch of pepper
  • 1 tbsp Manuka honey

Method:

Bloom your gelatin by adding to 1/2 cup of warm water and stirring. Allow to sit for 10 minutes.

Add your ginger to the orange juice and strain both through a seive to remove any pulp.

In a saucepan over a low heat, add the juice, turmeric, pepper, and your bloomed gelatin and warm up just enough to melt the gelatin.

Remove your mixture from the heat and add stir in your honey.

Pour into moulds and place in fridge overnight until gummies are set. 🍊

TIP:

If you make these in fun shapes (Kmart has some cute unicorn moulds) – they’re bound to be irresistible to kids of all ages.

You can apply this recipe to other fruit juices, however do not use pineapple, mango or papaya juice unless you have boiled it first. These fruits all contain bromelain, an enzyme that denatures the gelatin protein. It won’t set.
